She is the younger daughter of Godrej Group Chairman Adi Godrej and serves as the Chairman and Managing Director at Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL), with a focus on innovation, strategy and human resources. Nisa Godrej was born as Nisaba Adi Godrej on Sunday, 12 February 1978 (age 43 years; as in 2021) with the zodiac sign Aquarius. He was born and brought up in Mumbai, where he attended The Cathedral and John Connon School from 1983 to 1994. Nyssa then moved to England to pursue her formal education at Stowe School until 1996. At the age of 20, before going to Harvard for an MBA, Nisa Godrej met A., former managing director of GCPL. Did internship under Mahendran. Three years later in July, the young Godrej faced another challenge when former GCPL MD and chairperson Vivek Gambhir stepped down citing personal reasons and Nisa was handed the reins of consumer head of Godrej. His real challenge was to deal with the impact of COVID-19 on the company’s revenue, which declined by 12 percent. Nisaba also leads the Godrej Group’s ‘Good and Green’ CSR initiative and oversees the governance of the Godrej Family Council. In an interview, when Nisaba was asked what the prospects were for the company’s future, she replied that she wanted to make the Godrej Group more inclusive, diverse and have at least 30 percent women workforce in the next few years. The businesswoman is a philanthropist who works with social organizations like Heroes Project and Teach for India to make primary education accessible to underprivileged children. Nisa is also actively associated with Dasara – a philanthropic foundation that works with women, children and rural families for large-scale social change. Godrej revealed in an article that it is committed to “transforming educational outcomes for one million Indian girls”. Nisa, the face of change at family-owned Godrej Group, also advocates gender-neutral policies.
