Nirmala Channappa or Nirmala Chenappa is an Indian actor, director and producer who predominantly works in the Kannada film industry. She is best known for playing the role of ‘Jaya’ in the Kannada film “Thallana” (2012).

Nirmala Channapa was born on Sunday, 21 June 1987 (age 34 years; as in 2021) in Bangalore. His zodiac sign is Cancer. Nirmala has a master’s degree in arts, social work and drama. She was good at sports since childhood and was a Kabaddi player during her school days. During PU holidays, someone advised him to go to an acting workshop. Although he had never thought about acting before, he decided to attend a theater workshop with TS Nagabharana’s Benaka theater troupe. There she learned various forms of theater and was recognized as the best actress in the workshops. Soon, Benka offers him to join his troupe. After this she went to Rangayan for three months training in acting.

Nirmala started her career as a theater artist and performed around 14 to 15 plays. She did not want to limit herself to acting, so she also took up the work of stage lighting, designing and make-up. Gradually he started working as a theater artist and technician. Nirmala Channapa made her acting debut in the 2012 Kannada film “Thallana”, in which she played the role of ‘Jaya’.

Apart from being an actress and theater artiste, she is also an entrepreneur who founded the production company ‘Sai Nirmala Productions’. Nirmala worked as a creative director for the TV serial “Padmavati” (2018), which was produced under her production house.
