Nikhil Chaudhary was born on Saturday, 4 May 1996 (age 27 years; as in 2024) in New Delhi. His zodiac sign is Taurus. He was born in India and lives in Queensland, Australia. His hometown is Ludhiana, Punjab. He started playing cricket when he was 10 years old.
Chaudhary moved to Punjab with his family when he was a child.
Initially, he wanted to become a fast bowler, imitating the style of former Australian fast bowler Brett Lee. Later, he switched to off-spin and eventually switched to leg spin. Additionally, he developed into a courageous batsman.

Nikhil’s father’s name is Saneh Kumar Chaudhary, who is a businessman. There is not much information about his mother.
He has two elder sisters, Pooja and Aarti, Deepak Anand, who is a nutritionist.
livelihood
In the 2016–2017 season, he participated in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, scoring 25 runs and taking 2 wickets against Haryana. In 2017, Choudhary gained recognition in Indian domestic cricket as a player who excelled in both batting and all-round abilities. As an all-rounder, he found success in the under-19 cricket team and got a place in the Punjab team.
His debut in Twenty20 cricket for Punjab came on 29 January 2017 in the Inter-State Twenty20 Tournament. Nikhil entered List-A cricket in 2017, making his debut against Haryana. He participated in 2 List-A and 16 T-20 matches for Punjab and during this he scored a total of 203 runs and took 10 wickets. He scored 500 runs in 7 matches in Colonel CK Nayudu Trophy U23.
In his domestic cricket career, he batted well and scored 106 runs in T20 matches at an average of 17.66 and strike rate of 130.86. Additionally, he also took a few wickets with an economy rate of 8 in the same format. In List A matches, he scored 25 runs and also managed to take one wicket. While in Australia, he actively participated in club cricket for Northern Suburbs and attracted attention with his excellent performances. His standout moment came in the semi-finals where he hit seven sixes. This remarkable performance earned him a place in the Big Bash League (BBL) when his coach, former Australian cricketer James Hopes, recommended him to the Hobart Hurricanes. In 2018 he won the Under-23 ODI Championship.
In 2023, after playing grade cricket in Brisbane, Choudhary joined the Hobart Hurricanes for the 2023–24 season of the Big Bash League.
He caught the attention of the audience by playing a brilliant inning of 40 runs in 31 balls in his first match against Perth Scorchers on 20 December 2023. He was bowled by left arm fast bowler Jason Behrendorff. Additionally, he hit a six against Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf in the same match. On 28 December 2023, he scored 32 runs in 16 balls against Melbourne Stars. During a trial match in 2023, he faced Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan and hit two sixes in the same over. He impacted the wicket tally by taking two wickets against Sydney Thunder on 1 January 2024.

Controversy
In March 2024, an Australian court initiated a trial against Nikhil after a woman accused him of sexual assault. Reportedly, the incident took place in May 2021. The victim accused Nikhil of rape, saying that Nikhil took advantage of her after meeting her at a nightclub in Australia and committed the crime in his car on Flinders Street.
