Nidhi Yasha was born on Tuesday, 26 April 1983 (age 40 years; as in 2023) in Patna. His zodiac sign is Taurus. She completed her schooling from St. Joseph’s Convent High School, Patna in 1999. After this she took admission in Patna Women’s College from 1999 to 2002. He then did a four-month course on “Creating Luxury in Lifestyle Businesses” from IIM Ahmedabad. In 2005, Nidhi graduated with a gold medal from NIFT, Department of Fashion Design, New Delhi.

After completing her graduation from NIFT, Nidhi Yasha was placed in a key position in “The TMS Group, Beijing” (a multinational fashion buying house), which was one of the first international placements at NIFT. At TMS Group, she leads the design for a network of export houses managed by its 8 offices spanning continents. He also worked with Impulse and House of Pearl Fashion in buying and exporting houses in Delhi. While working for fashion houses in Delhi, she used to travel a lot for sampling and business development. In 2010 Nidhi Yasha founded NY Studio. In December 2018, Nidhi Yasha was honored as a distinguished achiever by her school St. Joseph’s Convent High School, Patna. She calls it the biggest achievement of her life. Speaking to students at her school, Nidhi Yasha said, “Sleep with a dream and wake up with a purpose” was my mantra. During the session, when a student asked her how to handle when society started asking questions about career, Nidhi Yasha replied,
just ignore. You know and understand your dreams and if your parents understand you, then you are not answerable to the society.”

She is known for designing costumes for films like Haunted, Jal (a National Award winning film), 1920 Evil Returns, Dangerous Ishq, Maximum, Zilla Ghaziabad and Policegiri.

Nidhi Yasha has acted in serials like Mahabharata (Asia’s most expensive drama at its time) on Star Plus, The Buddha on Netflix, Ramleela – with Ajay Devgan, Devon Ka Dev Mahadev, Kuch To Log Kahenge, Chandragupta Maurya, Shobha Somnath Ki. The costumes were designed for. , Navya, Anhonyon Ka Andhera, Durga, Savitri, Jodha-Akbar, State of Siege on Zee 5 – 26/11, 21 Sarfarosh – Saragarhi 1897 on Netflix, and many more mythological TV shows are in the line up.
International Projects
Nidhi Yasha Studio designed and created the costumes for the film Xuan Zang, Zhaoge, a fictional historical Chinese saga based on the Ming Dynasty. She also designed outfits for writer Wong Kar Wai and co-production house EROS.

- Nidhi Yasha is one of the members of FDCI (Fashion Design Council of India) and showcases twice a year in “India Fashion Week”.
- Nidhi was given the “Best All-Rounder Performance” award by the then President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
- With over 15 years of experience, Nidhi Yasha is the founder and director of luxury label brand Nidhi Yasha and also the owner of Mumbai-based design house, NY Studio.
- Nidhi Yasha always wanted a one-stop costume destination in her career, so she founded NY Studio in 2010 with the aim of transforming Indian rural wear into urban style.

We believe in sparkle. The approach here is very unrealistic. We are always in search of beauty and perfect outfit, which I do not agree with and also want to change.
- Nidhi believes that designing for films gives a designer more freedom than designing for television shows. He said in an interview,
TV is more difficult because you need to align your costumes with the ideas of the broadcaster. You often can’t be very true to your research if the broadcaster doesn’t agree with you. You get a lot of freedom in films. You get to do a look test and you are free to design for the entire duration of the film.
