When Nidhi was six years old, she started music training from Mauli Bhattacharyaji and Chandrakant Apte. She participated in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs (2011) aired on Zee Bangla. In 2016, she auditioned for Indian Idol 9 from Kolkata and was selected for the final round, but she failed to clear the final round held in Mumbai. In 2019, she auditioned again for Indian Idol 11 from Jamshedpur and was selected among the top-15 contestants after passing a total of eight rounds.
