Hernán, Nicolás Gonzalo Otamendi (born 12 February 1988) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a central defender for Benfica in the Portuguese Primeira Liga and for Argentina. Otamendi began his career at Vélez Sarsfield and Porto, where he won eight major titles, including three Primeira Liga titles and the 2011 Europa League.
