Nicolas Cage’s Ex-Wife Christina Fulton Is Said To Have Sued Erika Jayne Over Fraud

Erika Jayne of RHOBH is in hot water again. Christina Fulton, Nicolas Cage’s ex-wife, reportedly sued Jayne and her former husband Tom Girardi for more than $750,000 in fraud and theft accusations. Christina Fulton, 55, filed the case on Friday, July 15, saying that Jayne, her estranged husband, Tom Girardi, and two of his former coworkers misused her $924,000 accident compensation to maintain their own lives.

On July 18, Christina Fulton’s California attorney Ronald Richards informed E! News that the actress had “her settlement cheque falsified, her money taken within days of the deposit, and was kept in the dark until our inquiry found what transpired.”

Regarding the complaint, Richards added:

“To entice her, the business made modest payments, provided fake status updates both orally and in paper, and let her down by the three lawyers who represented her in her settlement. The money taken from the corporate trust account was subsequently utilized to fund the Girardis’ personal living costs, including Erika Girardi’s, via her company EJ Global LLC.”

According to the complaint:

“Plaintiff’s settlement proceeds were utilized to pay the balances on Erika and EJG’s American Express credit cards or charge cards, and subsequently PMI.” Erika’s personal costs were completely paid off with Plaintiff’s money from the Nano Bank operating account. Girardi Keese paid Erika $407,058.19 in 2019 via her fully owned LLC EJG. Her receivables increased as well. Plaintiff was supposed to get her settlement cash in the same year. Erika stole the plaintiff’s compensation money. The evidence speaks for itself.”

Christina Fulton filed a lawsuit against RHOBH star Erika Jayne for mishandling the former’s assets.

Christina Fulton is suing the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills actress and her ex-husband, Tom Girardi, for breach of contract, violation of fiduciary obligations, and legal malpractice, among other things. She, who began dating Nicolas Cage in late 1988 but split up soon after the birth of their now 31-year-old son, Weston Coppola Cage, in 1990, was gravely wounded in a vehicle accident in 2016.

She hired Girardi & Keese, an 83-year-old retired attorney, to defend her in a personal injury case. The Hard Drive actress allegedly received a $924,300 settlement in the issue in March 2019, but Christina said she had no idea “where her money went until today.”

Earlier this month, she claimed found that her settlement award had been “dissipated” and that her prior legal counsel had “lied to her.”

According to the complaint, Tom and his divorced wife utilized the settlement money as “their assets” to fund their “opulent lives.” The plaintiff has filed a lawsuit against the “public couple who promoted money and success,” demanding $750,000 in damages.

Richards, her attorney, told Page Six:

“Erika benefited from these money, which [were] used to generate material for the ‘Housewives’ program for which she was compensated.” She obtained vendor payments straight from these monies and benefitted personally from our client’s settlement embezzlement.”

Erika’s additional legal issues

Her legal problems began in November 2020, when she filed for divorce from her husband Tom Girardi, whom she had married for 21 years. A month later, the separated couple was accused of stealing $2 million in compensation payments from aircraft tragedy victims. However, the allegations against her were apparently withdrawn in Illinois in January.

Earlier last month, the couple was named in a new complaint. According to the complaint, Edelson PC claims that the reality TV star had “precise knowledge” of Tom’s alleged wrongdoings. She, however, disputed the charges. In May, she informed Us about her legal problems:

“I’m in the spotlight. Instead of pointing to the lawyers who worked at the firm and recommending attorneys and, you know, legal financing folks, they point to me. It’s been difficult for my mental health. Without a question. But, once again, I couldn’t lose, and I was determined to battle it out in every way imaginable, and I still am.”

Erika kept taping the Bravo program despite her legal problems. Christina’s case has yet to be addressed publicly by the reality TV star.
