NASCAR Star Bobby East Was Stabbed To Death By A Homeless Man

A homeless guy stabbed famous racer Bobby East to death at a California gas station on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. The NASCAR legend was reportedly stabbed in the chest while filling up his gas tank. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries. No arrests have been made by police. The 37-year-old racer was reportedly assaulted by a highly tattooed homeless guy identified as Trent William Millsap by authorities. Millsap, 27, apparently planned to stab another guy at the 76 petrol station. He was characterized by police as a well-known vagrant with an arrest warrant. Warnings were issued in relation to the fugitive, who was thought to be armed and hence dangerous.

Westminster police announced in a statement posted hours after Bobby East’s death:

“The victim was discovered on the ground with a major stab wound to the chest. Officers tried to save the victim’s life until OCFA paramedics arrived and brought him to a nearby trauma facility, where he died from his injuries.”

Days after the murder, police were still looking for the supposed killer. In addition, ongoing investigations are attempting to ascertain if East and Millsap knew one other or whether the deadly assault was random.

Fans are mourning the untimely death of NASCAR great Bobby East.

The 37-year-old racer, the son of famed car constructor Bob East, ascended to worldwide recognition after being named US Auto Club (USAC) champion three times. His accomplishments include two consecutive Silver Crown Series Championships in 2012 and 2013. At the age of 16, he became the youngest midget winner in USAC history. His racing career, while being tragically cut short, was brilliant and motivating.
