He won gold medals at the 3rd Youth Haryana State Boxing Championships at Dadri, Haryana (2011), the 44th Youth Men’s National Boxing Championships at Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh (2011), the 38th Junior Men’s Haryana State Boxing Championships (2012) and the 45th Junior Men’s National Boxing Championships at Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh (2011). Men’s National Boxing Championship (2012) in Patiala, Punjab. In 2012, he made his international debut in the super heavyweight category at the World Youth Championships in Yerevan, Armenia. In 2013, he competed at the ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships held in Subic, Philippines. In 2018, he defeated Sergei Egorov of Russia at the World Series of Boxing in Rohtak, Haryana. He won at the 2020 World Series of Boxing.

In 2021, they won against Sagar Chikara of India in the semi-final match of the Indian National Championships in Bellary, Karnataka. In September 2023, he reached the quarterfinals in the preliminary-R16 men’s +92 kg event of the 19th Asian Games by defeating his opponent Omatbek Elchoro Ulu.
He won the bronze medal at the 2022 Asian Games. Narendra lost in the semi-finals to Kazakhstan’s Kamshibek Kunkabayev, who is an Olympic and World Championships medallist, by a score of 0-5. As a result, he missed the chance of securing an Olympic quota.
