Narayan Ram was born as Sunil Kumar on Sunday, 7 October 1979 (age 44 years; as of 2023) in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. His zodiac sign is Libra. He was brought up in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Narayana completed his pre-degree from St. Thomas College, Thrissur, and earned his bachelor’s degree from Sree Kerala Varma College in Kanattukara, Thrissur, Kerala. Later, he pursued a Cinematography Diploma at the MGR Government Film and Television Institute in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

When you are the hero of a project, you have to give your full attention because the film depends on you. So I feel I am unsuitable for this industry.”
