Nalini Singh started her career as a journalist and TV anchor with Doordarshan. He has anchored many popular contemporary programs on the channel. In 1995, Nalini anchored Hello Zindagi, a social documentary series on Doordarshan.
He is famous for presenting the investigative journalism program “Aankhon Dekhi” on DD Metro channel (currently known as DD News). He anchored the show from 1990 to 2002. Nalini is the Managing Director of TV Live India Private Limited. She is also the managing editor of the news channel, Nepal-1.
Controversy
Nalini Singh was embroiled in controversy for misbehaving with a reporter (Anjana Rawal) of her news channel, Nepal-1. Nalini asks Rawal to “eat” her shoes while calling her a ‘bitch’, which enrages Anjana and she slaps Nalini and files a defamation case against her.

- In 1980, Nalini assisted author Devaki Jain in writing the book “Women’s Quest for Power: Five Indian Case Studies”.
- In May 2014, Nalini’s daughter Ratna Veera published a novel titled “Daughter by Court Order”, which led to some speculation as to whether it was an autobiography.
- During an interview, Singh’s daughter Ratna revealed that she had a difficult relationship with her mother.
- Singh was one of the five journalists who were asked to record their statements by the Delhi Police Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the Sunanda Pushkar murder case. Reportedly, Nalini was a good friend of Sunanda and was one of the few people to whom Sunanda spoke during the last few hours before her death.
