Although both characters are two of the most powerful and influential mutants in the world x Men Canon, Storm and Mystique rarely meet each other in any meaningful storyline, even for a brief time while working together on Krakoa’s silent council – but that all changes in a blazing cosplay brilliant, the cosplay captures the ultimate mutant transformation, and in doing so, Mystique and Storm in the limelight.
Ororo Munroe aka Storm is a mutant who grew up penniless and lived alone on the streets of Cairo before being revered as a goddess for his ability to control the weather with just his mind. This powerful mutant ability is what drew Professor Charles Xavier’s attention when recruiting Storm to become an X-Men hero. On the other hand, Raven Darkholme aka Mystique didn’t choose to be a hero as an adult – quite the opposite in fact. While it’s fun to pose a real-world theory behind why this cosplayer chose Mystique to transform into Storm, the simple answer is probably the most obvious — it looks great.
