Born to a cosmetologist mother, Harold practically grew up in the California beauty salon where her mother worked. He became interested in acting at the age of just six, when he got the opportunity to act in various community theater productions in his hometown. He did his schooling at Archbishop Mitty High School in San Jose. She was an active member of the performing arts department in her school. Additionally, she was also a core member of the Children’s Musical Theater San Jose. In 2014, he was featured on ‘YouthLive!’ ‘Talent Promo’ video on Unity Care’s YouTube channel. The annual event, YouthLive! The Gala is a performance-based fundraising event that includes a high-energy youth fashion, art and talent show.
Although Harold spent most of her childhood in beauty salons, she lacked the confidence and body positivity she needed while growing up in an all-white community in California. In an interview he said,
Growing up, I was heavily influenced by this Eurocentric idea of what beauty was and so I always felt ‘other’. When I was 16, turning 17, it really started to affect me. I had this mantra that I used to tell myself, ‘You are beautiful,’ – but I couldn’t stop myself from feeling so insecure, wishing I had nothing but my body, my face. “
Later, she attended Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama in Pittsburgh, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting/Musical Theatre.

The play is a satirical examination of the beliefs and practices of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
