Nia’s character Toula says in the trailer, “My father passed away and his last wish was that we visit his childhood village and reconnect with our roots, so let’s get together. And by us, I mean the whole family.”
This is the first film in the franchise without Michael Constantine as the family patriarch. He passed away at the age of 94 in September 2021.
The film hits theaters on September 8.
