Muyiwa Ademola Authentic, popularly known as Muyiwa Ademola, is a Nigerian actor, film producer, film director, screenwriter and businessman. He is best known for his performances in the Nigerian films “Ori” (2004), Indomi Lomo (2004), and “Igi Owo” (2007).

Muyiwa Ademola was born on Tuesday, January 26, 1971 (age 50 years; as in 2021) in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. Their zodiac sign is Aquarius. Muyiwa had his early school education at Christ Church School, Ibadan and Mapo V, Elekuro, Ibadan and went to St. David’s High School in Molete, Ibadan to pursue his high school education. While in school, he obtained the West Africa Secondary School Certificate. After completing his schooling, Muyiwa joined Great Nigeria Insurance Company as a sales executive and worked there for a year. He then obtained a certificate in chemistry from an institute affiliated with the University of London. Subsequently, she obtained a Bachelor of Education degree in Adult Education from the University of Ibadan. Muyiwa tried acting for the first time when he was in primary school. During a school play, his classmate, who was selected for the lead role in the play, met with an accident and could not perform. Muyiwa replaced Ishola Ogunsola’s son, who was earlier selected for a play. Despite being a science student, his interest in acting landed him the position of publicity director at the school’s press club. He had a corner on the school bulletin board called Muyiz Corner where he used to post short poems, jokes and cartoons. During his college days, he started writing scripts and also launched his first novel named Secret of Death, encouraged by his English teacher Mr. Aluko.

Muyiwa was introduced to the Nigerian film industry through Charles Olumo (Yoruba actor). After this he met a film director named SI Ola, who taught him acting and film making. Muyiwa started his acting career in 1991 with the film Yoruba. Four years later, he made his first written screenplay in the film ‘Assise’ (1995). In 2004, he directed and starred in the Yoruba film “Ori”, in which he played the role of a mad man. The film won Best Indigenous Film at the first African Movie Academy Awards in 2005.
Subsequently, he starred in films such as ‘Ogo Pupa’ (2008), ‘Fimidara Ire’ (2017), and ‘Oko Gbarada’ (2019).

- He grew up in an economically weak family in Abeokuta. During an interview, Muyiwa revealed that they were so financially weak that his father never owned a motorcycle. He also shared that his family did not own a TV until he was in secondary school.
- Sharing information about his childhood in an interview, Muyiwa said,
I grew up in one of the “dirtiest” slums in Ibadan. With no electricity for many years, I had to use “kuffins” (local lamps) while studying for my SSCE (we only had a lantern which no one dared touch). “My university education came 13 years after my secondary school, yet I am being celebrated like this.”
