Mukesh Tiwari is an Indian actor and comedian. He is known for the films “Dilwale,” “Gangajal,” and “Yahi Hai Zindagi.”

Mukesh Tiwari was born on 24 August 1969 (age 53 years; as in 2023) in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India. He studied at Lal School, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India and Govt. Multipurpose Higher Secondary School Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India. Mukesh went to Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India for his graduate studies. Then, he enrolled at the National School of Drama, New Delhi, India to pursue acting education. Mukesh was so good at acting that he was called one of the best actors by his professors in the university.
Tiwari was good at cricket during his school days and also played Under-12, Under-15 and Under-19 cricket for Uttar Pradesh. However, after watching the film “Chor Pe More” he decided to pursue a career in acting.

Mukesh started his acting career in 1998 with the Bollywood film “China Gate”. His role of ‘Jagira’, a local dacoit in the film, earned him the Zee Cine Award for “Most Promising Debut” (Male).
After this he was seen in films like Hum Panchhi Ek Daal Ke, Refugee, Farz, Mitti, Pyaasa and Hawaayen. In 2003, he played the role of Bacha Yadav in the film “Gangajal”. His performance in the film brought him recognition and fame.

In 2006, Tiwari played the comic role of ‘Vasuli Bhai’ in Rohit Shetty’s film Golmaal. His performance in the film was so appreciated by the audience that he continued to play the role of Vasili Bhai in the film’s sequel. In 2008, she made her TV debut with “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah”.
Apart from Bollywood, he has also appeared in Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu films.
In 2019, he was seen playing the role of Sanjeev Sharma’s ghost in SAB TV’s horror-comedy “Band Baaja Band Darwaza”.
