Ayodhya Ram temple priest
In 2023, he was among the 3,000 priests who applied for the recruitment of priests at the Ayodhya Ram temple. Out of 3000 priests, only 200 were selected for interview on the basis of merit. The interview was conducted at the Karsevak Puram of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) in Ayodhya. Of the 200 priests, only 20 were selected by the three-member panel, which included a Hindu preacher named Jaikant Mishra from Vrindavan and two mahants named Satyanarayan Das and Nandini Sharan from Ayodhya. Mohit passed all the rounds and was selected as a priest in the Ayodhya Ram temple. He then underwent six months of training before beginning his services as a priest at the temple, which was scheduled to be inaugurated on 22 January 2024.
Soon after Mohit was announced as one of the temple priests, some of his intimate pictures were circulated on social media. Later, when Ayodhya Police investigated the matter, it was found that the photo was morphed through AI. Gujarat Congress leader Hitendra Pithadia was arrested by the police for circulating deepfake photos.
