Mohan Juneja was born in 1967 (age 46 years; as in 2020) in Tumkur, Karnataka. He kept changing schools as his family kept relocating due to the nature of his father’s job. His higher education took place in Bengaluru. He started doing theater during his school days, after which he joined a drama school to understand the nuances of theater and acting. In an interview, Mohan revealed,
My father wanted me to become an engineer like him, but I was weak in studies.”

He debuted in Kannada films in 1989 with Shankar Nag’s Kannada film Wall Poster. He played comic roles and villain roles not only in Kannada and Telugu films but also in various Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam films. Some of her notable films include Chellatha, Lakshmi (2018), Snehitharu (2012), and Coco (2012). In 2013, he became a part of a total of 5 films which include Pade Pade, Brindavanam, Kumbh Rashi and Sweety. He made a cameo in Prashanth Neel’s KGF: Chapter 1 and its sequel KGF: Chapter 2, earning him praise for his dialogue delivery.
He acted in more than a hundred films in his career and shared the screen with celebrities like Puneeth, Darshan, Ambareesh, Upendra and Shivarajkumar. Apart from films, Mohan also made his presence felt on television. He had acted in several TV serials, including Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar’s Vitara, which was very successful and ran for more than 1000 episodes. This serial made him a household name and gave him the opportunity to create an identity that he always wanted. In an interview he said,
It ran for more than 1000 episodes and my role of Parandhama finally gave me an identity.”
Death
Reportedly, the actor was suffering from a prolonged illness related to his liver. He was admitted to a private hospital in Bengaluru for treatment, where he breathed his last on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Confirming the news of Mohan Juneja’s demise, Hombale Films tweeted and expressed its condolences to the actor.
