Controversy
In 2014, more than 2.5 lakh adult film CDs and DVDs were found in his rented apartment in Mumbai. His father and brother were arrested in this case. When we returned from Goa on January 2, we saw that all the stuff was scattered in the house. When the locker was checked, jewelery and cash worth Rs 1 lakh were missing. The CCTV footage was blank and the cameras did not record anything. I interrogated the four servants about all this, but they denied any role in the incident,” she told the daily.
Death
He died of kidney failure on 2 October 2020. She was suffering from kidney problem for some months. According to some media sources, she was taking keto diet to lose weight, due to which her kidneys failed. His father confirmed the news of his demise and said,
Mishti Mukherjee was very thin and she was on keto diet, she was suffering for 6 to 7 days, she was even taken to the hospital and her last rites were performed today. His mother is still deeply shocked by his demise.”
