Strahan has been missing from G.M.A. lately, but he returned, on his birthday no less.
Tuesday’s episode was all about Strahan’s return and, of course, the host’s 52nd birthday celebration. The warmth was evident, and everyone (fans and colleagues) extended their sincere birthday wishes. His fellow hosts, such as Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos, were beaming as much as fans were to have him back on set.
Roberts couldn’t help but express joy at having Michael back, saying, “Can I just say that we have tears of joy because we have Michael back here at the desk with us?”
Strahan echoed the sentiment, sharing, “It’s great to be back with you two.”
The reunion wasn’t just sweet; It also had its fun moments.
During a chat about the ‘Theragun’ massager, consumer correspondent Becky Worley playfully teased Strahan, saying: “[It’s] very useful for this elderly athlete…”
She continued: “Michael, I don’t know about you, but I definitely use it on my thighs, on my arm…”
To which Strahan joked: “When you said ‘aging jock,’ I thought you meant me because it’s my birthday…”
He continued: “But it’s okay, Becky, and I use it. I use it too!”.
It’s a relief to see that the morning show team is back together after Strahan’s absence from the morning show. Although he did not address the issue on the morning show, reports indicated that his absence was due to “personal family matters.”
Hopefully, things are good, those days are behind us and we get to see more of Strahan brightening our mornings in the future.
