Michael J. Fox is getting candid about life and death.
The 61-year-old actor spoke in an interview with CBS on Sunday morningsand has opened up to learn that his time on Earthside will come to an end sooner rather than later in the midst of his battle with Parkinson’s disease.

In a first-look clip, Michael addresses his mortality.
“My life is set up so that… I can take Parkinson’s disease with me if I have to,” he shares, explaining that Parkinson’s disease has forced him to refocus and reevaluate what he wants life to be like.
Michael says, “You don’t die of Parkinson’s. You’re dying of Parkinson’s…”. I’ve been thinking about the mortality of that. I’m not going to be 80.”
He went on, talking about the advances research has made for Parkinson’s, but also noting that he’s still struggling with symptoms.
“I’m not going to lie, it’s getting tough, it’s getting tougher,” he says. “Every day is more difficult. But, but that’s the way things are, that’s the way things are.”
Michael recently stepped out with three of his four children for a special event.
