Pete Carroll, a prominent American football coach who is also the head coach and executive vice president of the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League, has been married to his wife Glena Goranson since 1976. Their loving partnership resulted in three children: Brennan, their older son, Jamie, and Nate , their younger son. Pete’s journey to marital bliss with Glen is a continuation of the previous chapter in his life. His first marriage was to Wendy Pearl, whom he married in 1973. They had no children. However, their paths diverged, and they finally separated in 1975, closing that chapter of Pete’s life.
Pete and Wendy rarely revealed personal concerns to the public, thanks to their strong commitment to privacy. As a result, the reasons behind their divorce remain a well-kept secret, intriguingly hidden from the public until today.

Goranson, wife of Pete Carroll, is a former volleyball player.
Pete Carroll met Glena Goranson during their undergraduate years at the University of the Pacific when they were each pursuing their own interests. Carroll demonstrated his abilities on the soccer field, while Glena excelled in indoor volleyball. Their relationship grew stronger over time, culminating in their blissful marriage in 1976. Carroll deliberately kept his family out of the public eye during their trip, preferring to keep it private.
His family is rarely mentioned in interviews, except for publicly available information about their children’s education and employment opportunities. In 2009, Carroll was accused of having an affair with a graduate student at the University of SC, which sparked outrage. The roots of these claims are found in the statements of Charlie Weis, which Carroll strongly rejected, calling them “untrue, irresponsible and unbelievable”. Namely, no reliable sources other than Weis’s comments confirmed these claims, and they eventually died without gaining momentum.

Glenna guarded Lane Kiffin, head coach of the Ole Miss Rebels. Glenn was by Pete Carroll’s side during the early stages of his coaching career, providing support and assistance whenever needed. Carroll’s dedication was evident during her time with Monte Kiffin at the University of Arkansas. Glenn’s thoughtful gesture included volunteering to babysit Kiffin’s child, a certain Lane Kiffin, according to Player Wives. Surprisingly, this kid, none other than Lana Kiffin, has since grown into a well-known football coach. Lane Kiffin, the current head coach at the University of Mississippi, was promoted to the position.

Nate Carroll
Nate Carroll, Pete and Glenn’s youngest son, was born on March 24, 1987 and has built a distinguished career in football coaching. He is currently a senior offensive assistant for the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League (NFL). Carroll, a three-star athlete in high school, had interest from a variety of colleges, including smaller universities like San Diego, where Jim Harbaugh was then the coach. Despite the recruiting offers, he did not originally plan to play college football. Instead, he enrolled at the University of Southern California (USC), where his father was an active coach.
He graduated from USC in 2010 with a degree in psychology. Nate Carroll’s life changed dramatically after graduation when his father gave him a spot on the Seattle Seahawks. He began his career as a staff assistant in the scouting department for one season before being promoted to defensive assistant in 2011. When the opportunity arose to join the coaching staff in Jacksonville with Gus Bradley, the former Seahawks defensive coordinator and newly hired head coach, he chose to become an offensive assistant in 2013.
His time with the Seahawks was filled with memorable moments, most notably Nate Carroll’s first Super Bowl win against the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII. He gradually rose through the coaching ranks over the years, eventually being named the Assistant Wide Receivers Coach in 2014.
