Martha Stewart calls for remote work, says it will send America ‘down the drain’

Martha Stewart doesn’t mince words about how she feels about remote work.

The 81-year-old entrepreneur opened up in an interview with Footwear News, where she shared her stance on the practice, which has taken over since the start of the pandemic in 2020 and has continued to thrive.

Martha revealed to the outlet that she is a big supporter of remote office work every day.

“I kept working five days a week,” he says of what he was doing during that first year of the pandemic.

Martha then added that she feels “it’s not possible to do everything by working three days a week in the office and two days remotely.”

“Look at the success of France with their stupid… you know, August, blah blah blah. That is not a very prosperous country,” she shared. “Should America go down the drain because people don’t want to go back to work?”

This isn’t the first time he’s spoken about his work ethic, while also taking aim at others.

In a 2021 interview with harper’s bazaarMartha said she didn’t understand why employers shouldn’t be able to call employees at any time.

“If you can’t talk on a Sunday and it offends you that I call you on a Sunday, you know, if you’re a terribly religious person, I take that into account… It’s exciting! The business is exciting. I want people to feel that way about business.”
