Margot Robbie to produce live-action film ‘Monopoly’

Margot Robbie is back with another adventure to return to our childhood. After starring in the box office hit Barbie movie, Robbie is set to produce a live-action film. It will be based on the popular board game Monopoly.

“Following the huge box office success of Barbie, the 33-year-old actress and producer is making a Monopoly movie under her LuckyChap banner, along with the company’s other directors, Josey McNamara and Tom Ackerley, Robbie’s husband.” THE PEOPLE wrote.

“Based on the classic board game of the same name, the upcoming film will be distributed by Lionsgate and also produced by Hasbro Entertainment.”

Lionsgate ‘delighted’ to work with Margot Robbie and LuckyChap

Robbie’s rise to stardom has been something to behold. He has already starred in successful films such as suicide squad and Amsterdam. But this time, Robbie will hang up her acting hat and take on the role of producer.

Lionsgate Motion Picture Group President Adam Fogelson is thrilled to be working with Robbie and his production company LuckyChap.

“We are tremendously excited to be working with the entire LuckyChap team on what we all believe can be their next blockbuster.” said in a statement.

Robbie enjoys the success of ‘Barbie’

Robbie starred Barbie, one of the highest-grossing films of last summer. And although she was the lead of the hit film, the actress showed extreme gratitude when describing how Gosling as Ken helped tie the entire film together.

“It’s incredibly beautiful. Our Ken needed to have that,” Robbie began.

“We couldn’t imagine anyone else capable of doing all the things he needed and also having the humility to be Ken in a Barbie movie.”

Gosling said he had an impeccable mindset while preparing for the film. He didn’t want to approach the role half-heartedly. He prepared for the role with more intention than in any of the previous films in his career.

“I wanted to make sure if I was going to do it; I thought, ‘I can’t mess this up.’ I can’t be the guy who ruined the Barbie movie,’” Gosling said.

“So if I’m going to do it, I have to do more than I know I’m capable of doing.”
