Although he is making headlines for his starring role in Barbie, Margot Robbie says she thinks people are tired of seeing her on the big screen.
During a recent interview with Deadline, Robbie mused about taking a break from acting for the sake of others. “I also think everyone is probably sick of seeing me by now,” he explained. “It should probably disappear from the screens for a while. Honestly, if I made another movie too soon, people would be like, ‘Her again?’ We just spent an entire summer with her. We’re already over it.
Margot Robbie admitted that she doesn’t know what she will do next, but she hopes it will be in a while. However, she has an idea of what she wants to do. “I really want to direct. I’ve felt like she wanted to direct for the last seven years. But I have always seen it as a privilege, not a right. “I have been slowly working toward the feeling that I have earned the right to direct and I feel like I am now getting closer to that feeling.”
But he knows that while he’s been lucky enough to work with many incredible directors, he also knows that directing is hard. “Often when something occurs to me, I think, ‘Wouldn’t it be great to act like that so I can see them live?’ It’s funny how many directors ask me about the people I’ve worked with.”
Despite being hesitant about the direction, Margot Robbie said she will eventually take the risk. “But I definitely have that itch and it’s getting too bad. “I don’t know how much longer I can last.”

In addition to talking about a possible hiatus as an actress and a directorial debut, Margot Robbie talked about the Ocean’s Eleven prequel.

He then added that he has a couple of TV things that should come out this year as well. “And as an actor, I love acting in things that I’m not a producer on, so I’m looking at a couple of things, but there’s nothing concrete yet.”
