Badale is associated with many charity organisations. He is the director of the British Asian Trust. He is a former chairman of Operation Smile UK for over 10 years, and a former partner of Monitor Company, where he spent time in Germany, India, and the UK. He also established the Late Eighties Fund at Cambridge University to help students who need financial aid for their studies. In this fund, voluntary monthly contributions are made by people who matriculated between 1984 and 1990 from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University.

Controversy

Tax Evasion while purchasing Rajasthan Royals

Manoj Badale was accused of evading tax when he purchased the IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals through his company Emerging Media Limited. It was alleged that he had business ties with Lalit Modi, the then-chairman of the Indian Premier League (IPL). His name was registered in FIR initially; however, it was later removed after an investigation, and he was acquitted of all the charges.
