Later, Manny and his family shifted to Newcastle upon Tyne, England. He became interested in music after seeing his brother mixing a Punjabi song with a hip hop track. He followed his brother’s footsteps and started making music at the age of 13 by remixing Punjabi songs with various forms of music such as hip hop, R&B, garage and drum & bass. At the age of 14, he got a chance to work as a DJ at an event. His music was liked by the audience and later, he was invited as a DJ in various parties and club events in his locality. He then took music training under Wolverhampton-based music producer Gurps Sandhar.

At the age of 16, he set up a small music studio in his room and released his first music project ‘The Demo’, which included remixes of songs by singers like Lamber Hussainpurri, Deepa Dosanjh and Bhinda Aujla. He then worked with Indian music producer JSL Singh for the song ‘Mutual Concept’, which was well received by the audience. At the age of 17, he started focusing more on creating his own music rather than mixing songs. In March 2008, her first Punjabi single ‘Pavada’ was released. The song gained immense popularity and was playlisted on BBC Asian Network and BBC 1XTRA. Controversy
In 2019, he was accused by Punjabi singer Dilraj Grewal of stealing his song ‘Verified Jatt’. Dilraj uploaded an old video of ‘Verified Jatt’ in which he was singing the song. As soon as the video was uploaded, his fans and management team started accusing Manny of using Dilraj’s song. Dilraj had also sent a legal notice to Manny for copying his other songs as well. Later, Manny clarified the matter through an Instagram video, in which he said,
This song is owned by Sangra Vibes who wrote it and recorded a guide vocal for this song 2 years ago for which I still have the date marked files. I had invested Rs 20 lakh in Dilraj, which became worthless after receiving the legal notice. I recorded 3 songs with Dilraj, took them to UK, paid for the studio time, which is now wasted. Once the legal notice was sent, the song ‘Verified Jatt’ reverted back to the original owner – Sangra Vibes.’
