Manny Camacho’s fatal accident
Manny Camacho, a 22-year-old former Azusa Pacific University student, was sadly killed in a car accident. Carlos and M’Liss Silva, Camacho’s parents, share a Facebook account and posted a message about their son’s death. CarlosM’Liss Silva’s Facebook page posted a devastating message on January 9. It is a curse for any parent to write about the death of their child, but Carlos and M’Liss Silva wanted to pay tribute to their child.
The message went on to say: “It is with such heavy hearts that this family lost our son yesterday in a sudden tragic accident.”
“He made us proud, broke generational curses and ran his race to the end.” He persevered despite everything…that was him – that was Manny in one word, DETERMINED.”
The Camacho family has set up a GoFundMe page to help with funeral costs. Jessica Vargas and Yolanda Camacho, Manny’s aunts, reposted the fundraising messages on their personal Facebook pages. The campaign had a goal of $20,000, and $7,600 was raised. Several of Manny’s friends paid tribute to him on his Instagram posts.
For Manny, a former football player, health has always come first. Most of his Instagram posts involve him working out at the gym, and his latest Instagram post showcases his gym workout regimen. Manny also has a younger brother named Marcos Camacho, for whom he sent a heartfelt message on his birthday in 2020. Marcos now lives in Colton, California and will graduate from Grand Terrace High School in 2021.
Manny’s entrepreneurial goals
Manny Camacho graduated from Azusa Pacific University last May. He thus became the first person in the family to obtain a university degree. In one of his interviews, Manny mentioned his plans to start his own company. During the pandemic, young people have already founded a company. Camacho’s Customs has created shoes with a unique design. Some of his works can be seen on the company’s Instagram page.
In an interview with Azusa’s website, Camacho said that in the beginning he mostly did commissions for close friends and family. But he gradually increased his company by word of mouth. His designs featured Scooby Doo characters, sports team colors, record covers and logos. The question remains whether someone from his family will continue the company. Manny also discussed the influence of his religion on him during his talk. Camacho said that when he was 14, he and his mother were reintroduced to the church. The teenager said it influenced every choice he made throughout his life.
