Manika Sheokand was born in 1996 (age 25 years; as in 2021), and hails from Chandigarh, India. In an Instagram post, she revealed that people used to pity her parents for having a second daughter. He quoted,
The age-old misogynistic culture was still ruling people’s minds and girl children were still unwanted. When I was born, society took pity on my parents for having another girl. This made me determined to prove that I am an asset to society, not a liability.”
He studied at KB DAV Senior Secondary Public School, Chandigarh. During her school days, she outperformed her fellow students academically, meanwhile, excelled in the field of sports as a national level netball player. From 2013 to 2018, he pursued Integrated BE (Chemical)-MBA from Dr. SS Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

In May 2016, she joined KBR, Inc., Gurgaon, where she interned for three months. Later, she joined Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited. In 2019, she quit her job to pursue modeling as a full-time profession. She was the show-stopper of the Gurugram International Couture Week (2019), where she walked the ramp for designer labels Anjali and Arjun Kapoor, Narendra Kumar and Reena Dhaka.

After winning the title of Femina Miss India Haryana 2019, she started preparing for Miss India 2020. During her beauty pageant journey, she won the title of ‘Mohe Miss Photogenic’, a sub-contest of VLCC Femina Miss India 2020. The finale event of Femina Miss India 2020, which was held on 10 February 2021, Manika Sheokand was crowned Miss Grand India 2020, while Manasa Varanasi from Hyderabad was crowned Miss India World 2020, and Uttar Pradesh’s Manya Singh became Miss India. 2020 Runner-up.
