Biography/Wiki
Manika Batra (born 15 June 1995) is an Indian from Narayana Vihar, New Delhi. He liked playing table tennis at the age of five and received professional training in the game from coach Sandeep Gupta during his school days. At the age of 8, he won the under-8 state-level tournament.
Physical Appearance
Manika Batra height is 34-28-34, height is 6′ and weight is 65 kg. His flexible body helps him make different movements to handle all types of shots and his good strength combined with intelligence takes the ball to different angles as per the conditions and requirements.
Family, Caste and Lovers
He belongs to an ordinary Hindu family. His father Girish Batra supported him a lot in adopting table tennis as a career and appreciates his every match. He was brought up in a table tennis environment where people loved him a lot as his elder brother Sahil and elder sister Aanchal both play the game.
Manika is still single and focuses only on her career.
livelihood
Manika completed her secondary education from Hans Raj Model School, New Delhi and then studied at Jesus and Mary College in the same city. But he left college in the first year of graduation to pursue a career in table tennis.
In 2008, at the age of only 13, he represented India in an international level tournament.
In 2011, she won a silver medal in the Chile Open under-21 category. Manika along with Mouma Das and Ankita Das won a silver medal in both the women’s team event and women’s doubles event at the 2015 Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships and then won a bronze medal in the women’s singles event for the same championship in the same year.
At the 2016 South Asian Games, she won 3 gold medals, first in the women’s doubles event with Pooja Sahasrabuddhe, then in the mixed doubles event with Anthony Amalraj and finally in the women’s team event with Mouma Das and Shamini Kumaresan.
At the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Manika, along with other Indian women’s team members, again earned a gold medal for India.
On 19 November 2022, she created history by becoming the first Indian female paddler to win a medal at the ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup tournament, where she defeated world number six and three-time Asian champion Hina Hayata 4–2 to win the bronze medal. ,
