According to Manali, her first meeting with Dilip took place at Mumbai airport while returning from vacation. Recalling his first meeting with Dilip in an interview, he said,

Manali Vengsarkar started her own factory at the age of 18 to export fine leather goods to countries like Germany, Australia and Italy and at the age of 20, she got married to Dilip Vengsarkar and they got married a year later. His first child. To focus on his personal life and spend time with his children, he decided to take a step back and close the factory.
