Mammals, the newest Amazon Prime Video comedy series starring James Corden, is scheduled to premiere on the site on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 12:00 GMT. The plot revolves around a chef whose life takes an unexpected turn after he discovers some unpleasant truths about his wife. On November 7, 2022, Amazon Prime Video released the official trailer for the series, depicting the tumultuous, funny, and exciting existence of protagonist Jamie Buckingham. It begins with Corden and Kreiling’s characters saying:
“If love is impossible, we must believe in the unthinkable.” We have to believe in miracles.”
The trailer maintains the ideal mix of humor and drama. It has a lively tone and delivers a rich marital drama with compelling characters. The following is the official synopsis of the show, released by Amazon Studios Press:
“MAMMALS” tells the story of Jamie (JAMES CORDEN), a Michelin-starred chef whose life is turned upside down when he learns of the horrific revelations about his pregnant wife Amandine (MELIA KREILLING). Jamie searches for answers with the help of his brother-in-law Jeff (COLIN MORGAN).”
The description goes on to say:
“As a result of this investigation, the gap in Jeff’s marriage with Jamie’s sister Lue (SALLY HAWKINS) widens. Jeff tries to get in touch with Lue, but that only pushes Lue into a private dream world. Meanwhile, Amandine falls in love with her violin after a devastating loss, but finds relief from an uncertain source.
According to the trailer and description, the film deals with a number of complex issues, including monogamy, love and marriage, among others. Viewers can expect a dispassionate look at modern marriage, people’s ideas about love, and encounters with like-minded souls. The series will consist of six episodes and will be available on Prime Video on November 11, 2022.
