Madonna’s team responds to lawsuit over delay in concert start

Madonna’s team responds to a new lawsuit filed against her amid her Celebration tour.

The Queen of Pop, 65, was sued by two concertgoers in New York City after starting one of her December shows more than two hours later than the advertised time.

His team revealed why the show in question started late and explained how they felt about the allegations made in the lawsuit.

“Madonna just finished, exhausted Celebration tour 2023 in Europe it received rave reviews,” Madonna Management and Live Nation told ET in a joint statement. “The shows premiered in North America at Barclays in Brooklyn as planned, with the exception of a technical issue on December 13 during sound check.”

They continued and added: “This caused a delay that was well documented in press reports at the time. “We intend to defend this case vigorously.”

The legend himself has not responded directly to the lawsuit. However, she had previously apparently alluded to starting some of her shows late by saying, “A queen is never late.”

However, some celebrities disagreed with her.
