Madonna fans furious after show started almost 3 hours late

Madonna fans certainly aren’t happy. Fans took to social media to express their frustrations after alleging that the star delayed her performance for almost three hours.

According to TMZ, Madonna’s fans were upset with the artist for the delay in her concert. Madonna’s opening act, DJ Honey Dijon, took the stage at 8:30 p.m., while the star herself should have started her performance around 9:30 p.m.

On social media, several people shared their impatience. One person wrote: “I don’t give a damn if you’re Madonna, if you’re 3 hours late you’re fucking rude.”

Another commented: “I love Madonna but it’s really fucked up how she’s literally like 2 hours late to her FIRST show in the US.”

Another wrote: “Personally, I would have gone straight home after she was an hour late, but I understand a lot of people get paid.” [sic] good money for their seats, so I understand why a lot of people stay and wait.”

Madonna was late?

However, Madonna ultimately didn’t finish performing until around 11 p.m. When the doors opened at 7:30 p.m., fans grew impatient waiting for Madonna to perform. However, although organizers temporarily delayed the concert, fans falsely claimed that it was longer than it actually was.

The outlet reported that Madonna ended up performing around 11 p.m., making the delay only half that time. In addition, Madonna was present. The venue had problems with the sound and the singer asked fans if they could hear her.

Still, that didn’t stop some fans from being disgruntled. It doesn’t help that Madonna has earned a bit of a reputation for being late. In 2019, a concertgoer ended up suing the singer for arriving late.

After Madonna delayed her concert, concertgoers attempted to get refunds for the three tickets they purchased. However, they had not been successful.

“Ticket holders had to work and go to school the next day, preventing them from attending a concert that would end around 1:00 a.m.,” the lawsuit stated, according to Fox News. “(Nate) Hollander tried, unsuccessfully, to obtain a refund for the three tickets purchased for the Madonna concert.”

Despite the delay, it still seemed like many enjoyed the performance Madonna gave. Hopefully, the rest of her concerts will go off without a hitch.
