Madhulika Rawat was the wife of Bipin Rawat, the first Chief of Defense Staff of the Indian Armed Forces. She served as President of the Defense Wives Welfare Association (DWWA). Madhulika died along with her husband Bipin Rawat in a helicopter crash on 8 December 2021.

Madhulika Raje Singh Rawat was born on Thursday, 7 February 1963 (age at the time of death 58 years) in Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh. She did her schooling from Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Moti Mahal Road, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh and did her graduation in Psychology from Delhi University, New Delhi.

His father Mrigendra Singh was the prince of Sohagpur state, Shadol, Madhya Pradesh. He served as Congress MLA from Shadol in 1967 and 1972. He is the second child of his parents and has an elder brother and a younger brother. The name of one of his siblings is Yashvardhan Singh Rawat.
As of 2021, his family lives in his ancestral residence ‘Rajabagh’ in Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh.

They were married on 14 April 1986.
The couple had two daughters, Kritika Rawat and Tarini Rawat.
livelihood
He worked for the welfare of dependents of army personnel. She was also associated with various welfare programs working to help the widows of martyred soldiers. She worked to provide employment to the wives of army personnel by encouraging them to pursue various courses in tailoring, weaving bags and making bakery products. Earlier, she served as the President of the Army Women Welfare Association (AWWA). In 2021, she was appointed as the President of Defense Wives Welfare Association (DWWA).
Death
On 8 December 2021, when she was traveling from Delhi to Sulur in a Mi-17 V5, the helicopter crashed near Wellington Army Centre, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. He was accompanied by Bipin Rawat, Brigadier LS Lidder (Defence Assistant to CDS), Lieutenant Colonel Harjinder Singh (Special Officer to CDS), PSO Naik Gursewak Singh, Naik Jitendra Kumar, Lieutenant Naik Vivek Kumar, Lieutenant Naik B Sai Teja. And Havildar Satpal in the helicopter. Later, the Indian Air Force, through a tweet, announced the tragic death of Madhulika, her husband Bipin Rawat and 11 others who died in a helicopter crash near Coonoor in Tamil Nadu. Group Captain Varun Singh was the only survivor of the accident.
With deep regret, it has now been learned that General Bipin Rawat, Mrs. Madhulika Rawat and 11 others on board the aircraft have died in the unfortunate accident.

On the demise of Madhulika and Bipin Rawat, Chhattisgarh Minister TS Singh Deo said,
Madhulika was a close associate of the Rawat family and often visited us in Bhopal. Madhulika ji, wife of late General Bipin Rawat, was a close family associate. She was the daughter of Late Shri Mrigendra Singh Ji of Suhagpur (Madhya Pradesh) and often visited us in Bhopal. My condolences are with their families. May they find strength to cope with this unimaginable loss.”
Cremation
On 10 December 2021, her husband Bipin Rawat was cremated with full military honors at the Brar Square crematorium in Delhi Cantonment. Madhulika’s body was also kept on the same pyre.
