Luc Besson is candid about his career.

dog has been billed as Luc’s comeback film, as it marks his first appearance since he was acquitted of rape allegations in 2022. When asked if he sees the film that way, Luc replied: “You don’t think like that. It’s very difficult when you reach 60, because you never know that your juice has run out. An athlete knows it: he has a stopwatch. But with an artist you never know. I never want to make a movie too much and have people say ‘oh, it was great before.’ So you try to figure out if you still have things to say, and for now, I’m fine. Then maybe I have one or two more.”
“I made my first film when I was 19 and now I’m 63, so it took me 50 years to focus, and I think I can express myself a little better and maybe know what I want to say a little better. , so it’s just a normal evolution. But I try to be more interesting. But to me it’s not dark at all, it’s very colorful,” he said of the new film, which stars Caleb Landry Jones as a man who was abused by his violent father and adopts dogs as a source of joy and friendship.
As for what kind of films he would like to make in the future, Luc said he was interested in directing another big-budget sci-fi film.
“I would love to make another movie in space,” he said. “Give me $200 million and I’ll be there.”
