we are days away from Met Gala 2023But first let’s go over last year’s event and all the celebrities who were in attendance for the first time.
More than 250 celebrities were on the red carpet of the Met Gala 2022 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
We counted at least 43 stars who walked up the stairs of the Met for the first time.
The dress code for the event was “Gilded Glamour” and was inspired by the Costume Institute exhibit, In America: An Anthology of Fashion. Guests are asked to “embody the grandeur, and perhaps the dichotomy, of New York’s Gilded Age,” a period that spanned from 1870 to 1890. This year’s official co-chairs were Regina King, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
