Unfortunately, Lizzo had to cancel her concert tonight in Montreal due to illness.

The 35-year-old artist took to her social media pages on Thursday afternoon (May 4) to announce the unfortunate news to her fans, who were likely already arriving at the venue.

“Montreal, I am very sorry but I physically cannot do the show. I promise we will honor her love,” Lizzo wrote in the caption of a video on her Instagram account.

She added in her blocked Twitter page, “I’m so sad. EVERYONE just found out I have a 102 fever.”

“Montreal, last night I had a sore throat and a headache and I’m in bed. I woke up this morning and I was worse and my body was weak. I have chills and my head hurts. And normally if it’s just a cold, I shower, eat, take some medicine and it gets better, but this is getting worse. I think it’s the flu and I have to make the unfortunate decision to cancel tonight. I want to find a date to reschedule, but I can’t perform tonight. This is the second time I’ve had to cancel for health reasons in my entire career and I’ll make it up to you, Montreal. “I’m so sorry,” Lizzo said in the video, which you can watch below.

Earlier this week, Lizzo was the surprise performer at the Met Gala and partied the night away with Janelle Monae after the event.
