Initially, Linthoi Channambam was very interested in football and boxing and he started playing football and also tried his hand at boxing. This is what attracted me most towards this sport and my family supported me from the beginning.

In 2014, he enrolled himself at Mayai Lambi Sports Academy, a local training academy in Imphal.
