The famous love story of Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth began on the set of The last song more than a decade ago.
After calling off an engagement in 2013, the duo reunited and hit the altar in 2018 before calling it off for good the following year.
While reflecting on her relationship with Liam in a recent project, Miley said their chemistry in the film was “undeniable.”
“I think one of the elements that made the movie seem so special was seeing two very young people fall in love, something that happened in real life and in real time,” he said.
Miley noted that her ex-husband was one of three actors on the short list to play her love interest Will in the film. Of course, we now know that Liam got the role, which set her story in motion.
However, you may not remember that Liam wasn’t the first choice for the role. In fact, another actor was cast before joining the project!
