Lenny Von Dohlen rose to fame playing Harold Smith, an agoraphobic man entrusted with his secret diary by Laura Palmer for protection in the ABC mystery drama Twin Peaks. The figure is later discovered hanging in his green room, surrounded by fragments of Laura’s diary. In his farewell message it was written: “J’ai une ame solitary”, which translates as “I am a lonely soul”. Twin Peaks, created by Mark Frost and David Lynch, aired on ABC on April 8, 1990, and ran for two seasons through 1991.
