Star-Lord Returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which could be a tease for his MCU replacement. Legendary Star-Lord’s MCU Return Teases May Be Right For Nova
Guardians of the Galaxy 3A tease of the legendary Star-Lord’s return could be part of Marvel Studios’ plans nova Separate project in development, recently reported as a Disney+ show. This teaser has a lot more to offer than just revealing Star-Lord’s new MCU name, and there aren’t many upcoming MCU projects that will lend Peter Quill. nova is the biggest exception. Focusing on Richard Rider as Nova’s solo project would really be the perfect place for a Star-Lord return Guardians of the Galaxy 3.
Now that Star-Lord is back on Earth, he’s quite likely to meet Richard Ryder on his way to rising stardom. It’s unclear what the MCU will do with Nova’s origin story, but the comic kicked off Rider’s superhero story after he was recruited by Rhomann to Dey played by John C. Reilly in the first season. Since Dey is friendly with Star-Lord, he can help bring Quill and Rider together.
How Nova replaces Star-Lord in the MCU
While Nova won’t exactly take over from Star-Lord, he’s still the perfect character to take on Peter’s role in the universe. First of all, Nova and Star-Lord are functionally similar to humans, they become very important heroes on the galactic level. Nova is one of the greatest guardians of the galaxy in the comics and will play an equally important role after the MCU debut. This will help make Nova the MCU replacement for Star-Lord in terms of a larger shared universe structure.
Nova is also occasionally a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy and could also take on the role of Star-Lord in the future of the MCU. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 ended Quayle’s time with the team, seeing him give the reins to the Rockets, who formed the new Guardians of the Galaxy team. Nova may not be on the list right now, but the MCU has shown a willingness to let the team develop. It wouldn’t be surprising if Nova becomes Star-Lord’s MCU replacement, becoming the human leader of the group.
