Larry Brown is an American basketball coach and former player who is an assistant coach for the Memphis Tigers. Larry Brown is the only coach in basketball history to win an NBA title and an NCAA national championship.

A star player for the Tar Heels in the early 1960s, Larry was considered too young to play in the NBA. He began his post-college career with the NABL’s Akron Wingfoots, where he played for 2 years (1964-1965).

In addition, he led the Wingfoots to the 1964 AAU National Championship. Later, he was chosen for Team USA’s 1964 Summer Olympics team, which won the gold medal.
