“I was with three of my favorites, Biff, Duck and John Green. And two other writers of the day entered, Kamille and Anya. And they came with this incredible energy. The guys were like, ‘Oh, okay.’ Then we’ll be here.’ Because it was just the three of us, the two girls and me. They were really excited to be there and it was a great opportunity for all of us. And ‘Tension’ is one of those that you don’t even know how it happened. We were just vibing, and all the screaming and stuff, which you guys have done so well, that we’ve kept on the record, was literally us screaming and saying, ‘Did you just say that?’ Did you just say that? ‘Yes, I said it.’ ‘It’s okay,’” he continued.

“We literally were. We were jumping on the couches and I mean, you’d have to understand his opinion too, but that’s how I remember it. I mean, we were in this pool house, so it was the wrong place to record something. We weren’t really thinking about recording, just writing and getting the vibe, but a lot of that made it into the record.”
