King Jigme and Queen Jetsun just welcomed their third baby into the world!
The Bhutan royal couple revealed they were expecting over the summer, after attending Princess Iman’s wedding earlier this summer in Jordan, and it was just revealed that their queen Jetsun gave birth to a baby girl last week.

In an announcement on the Queen’s official Instagram on September 9, the Royal House of Bhutan revealed that “a healthy baby girl has been born today to Their Majesties, the Druk Gyalpo and Gyaltsuen, coinciding with the 25th day of the seventh month of Feminine Water.” . Year of the Rabbit, at Lingkana Palace, Thimphu.”
“Both Her Majesty and the royal baby are doing well,” the announcement added. “The newborn princess is the third child and the first daughter of Her Majesties.”
“Their Majesties extend their sincere thanks to the medical team composed of dedicated doctors and nurses, to the Zhung Dratshang for all the prayers made and to everyone for their good wishes,” the statement concludes.
King Jigme and Queen Jetsun also have two older sons, Prince Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck (known as the Dragon Prince), 7, and Prince Jigme Ugyen Wangchuck, 3.
The baby princess’s name has not yet been announced.
