Khloe Kardashian wore a black and gray fur coat in snowy Aspen, Colorado, causing animal rights activists to clutch their fake pearls. On Thursday night, the reality star ventured out, bundled up, to share some quality time with sisters Kim and Kendall. Of course, the photos of the winter coat made their way to X (formerly Twitter).
It’s unclear whether Khloé’s opulent outerwear was made from genuine animal skins or fake alternatives. Regardless, the X users wasted no time in sharpening their fangs to spit barbs at the reality star.
“You have some things to answer after a photo of you wearing fur surfaced!” one fan demanded. Another fan was sure Khloe Kardashian’s coat was real fur. “I think everyone wears real fur… they’re too vain to wear anything fake,” they said. reasoned.
Khloe Kardashian’s stance against fur is a matter of public record
While people obsessing over Khloe’s fur choice may seem out of place, she at one point claimed to be a fierce animal lover. She became famous posing nude in a PETA campaign in 2008.

However, Khloe Kardashian’s association with PETA did not stand the test of time. In 2012, her sister Kim experienced an incident on the red carpet in which she was attacked with a flour bomb. The person responsible was later identified as one of PETA’s most influential members.
Following the incident, Khloé issued a statement online. “Hello dolls. I’m sure everyone heard what happened to Kim last week. I just received word that the woman responsible has very close ties to PETA, even though PETA has publicly stated otherwise.”
He added: “PETA has not only lied to the public, but has also shown that it supports this type of behavior. “I’ve been an outspoken supporter of PETA for a long time, but I’ve also been vocal about anti-bullying, so this was a huge disappointment to me.”
Khloe Kardashian concluded by saying that while she would continue to avoid fur, she would no longer support PETA in any way.
However, this is not the first time Khloé has come under fire since her split from PETA. In 2019, Khloé drew a lot of attention to her clothing choice during Halloween. She donned a custom-made Cruella De Vil costume, which may have incorporated animal materials.
Khole claimed that it was simply a Halloween costume and that no animal parts were used in its construction. However, fans quickly discovered a post from the designer of Khloe’s outfit, where it was allegedly claimed that the ensemble incorporated fox and mink fur.
