It happened just before midnight, ruining the festive atmosphere. Someone entered through a back door, knowing he was not there, and committed the crime. The story was first reported by TMZ.
Fortunately, the thief only took an old gun and some less valuable personal items. The alarm went off and Connolly was informed about the robbery via his mobile phone. He quickly rushed home to help police investigate the incident.

To help learn more about the burglar, police reviewed surveillance videos monitoring Connolly’s property. Surprisingly, it appeared to be a homeless person who committed the act, not a large group of thieves.
