“I let my darkness see the light,” she explains in a manifesto for her latest work. Listeners have full access to an emotional exorcism as Kesha performs some serious soul-searching on the album’s 11 tracks, produced by industry icon Rick Rubin. She reflects on the spiritual awakening she experienced in the summer of 2020 on the murky synthesized “Eat the Acid” lead track: “The Universe Says It’s Your Time / And Tells I think everything will be fine.”
