Kavi Kumar Azad, 46 (born 12 May 1972) was an actor and comedian from Sasaram, Bihar, India. When he was young, yesteryear Bollywood comedian Tuntun visited his hometown Sasaram, Bihar and predicted that he would one day become an actor. His compliment changed his world and perspective after which he decided to become an actor. On the contrary, her family was against her acting aspirations as they were going through financial crisis at the time, and wanted her to be with them as a pillar of support during the tough times. But, the poet’s passion for acting could not stop his family’s opposition and he ran away from his home to Mumbai to become an actor. His initial days in Mumbai were like a nightmare as he had no money and connections in Mumbai. Therefore, he lived on the footpath and sometimes went hungry the whole day. Although he started acting with small roles in Bollywood films, his luck ran out when he got the role of Dr. Haathi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and the rest is history.

Physical Appearance

He had weight problems since childhood and before coming to Mumbai from Bihar, his weight was around 215 kg. With his demise, she worked on losing weight and lost about 80 kg in the last few years of her life after a miraculous weight loss surgery. In the latter part of his life, his weight was around 140 kg and his height was around 5′ 4″.

Kavi Kumar Azad started his acting career with small roles in films like Mela (2000) and Fun2sh (2003) starring Aamir Khan and Twinkle Khanna. Due to not having much scope in Bollywood, he turned his attention towards the world of TV and it proved to be the right step for him. He started his TV acting career with the role of a brave magician in Disney Channel India’s sitcom Best of Luck Nikki. In 2008, during his struggling days, he got a call from the production house of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. As soon as he entered the cabin of the head of the production house, his luck also opened as he was immediately selected to play the role of Dr. Hansraj Hathi in the serial and he worked in the show from 2008 till his death in 2018. ,

Death

On 9 July 2018, despite health problems, he was scheduled to attend a meeting with the cast and producer of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. But, destiny had other plans as on the same day he suffered a massive heart attack, after which he was taken to Wockhardt Hospital in Mumbai, where he breathed his last.
