Katie Holmes weighs in on ‘Dawson’s Creek’ revival and reveals why there are questions about a reboot

Katie Holmes pondered the possibility of going back to Dawson’s Creek.

The 44-year-old actress-director starred on the beloved series in the late ’90s and early 2000s. In the age of revived shows, fans were hoping to hear good news about the series coming back in a new way.

She confirmed that there has been talk of a reboot while speaking on Kering talks about women on the move during the Cannes Film Festival 2023 on Thursday (May 18) in Cannes, France.

However, he also revealed a concern that has been raised about the show’s return.

“There have been many discussions over the years. We all loved the experience,” Katie said. Variety during the conversation.

However, he added that there was a pressing concern about a reboot: “There is a protection that comes along with the discussion. The show was a time capsule. Putting it in today’s world might tarnish it a bit. It was right before everyone had a phone and social media and all that, so there was an innocence between these characters that was one of the things that I think people liked about the show.
